Happy Halloween everyone! Brian and I had a moment to spare so we carved our pumpkins early! Mia was unsure about them at first but after tasting it and sitting in it she decided she liked them after all!

The thought of even nibbling on this makes me feel ill but would you eat this? Its called kitty litter cake, made to look disgusting but totally edible....yuck!

Happy Halloween Party!!

My friend Nikki and I dressed as "good fairy" and "bad fairy" for a friends halloween party last weekend. It was a blast! Tons of great halloween food and fun for everyone! The best part...we only spent $3 on our costumes! $1 glow in the dark fairy wand, $1 pink fairy hair headband, $1 fairy wings!!

name that berry!

Anyone know what this is? It was growing in between apple trees at the apple orchard we visited last month...I thought it was really pretty even though I had no idea what kind of plant or berry it was.

Apple Picking...again!

As if we didn't come home with enough apples the first time, we decided to go apple picking again! This time we came home with a whopping 16lbs of apples! I just finished them all up making tons of pies and apple bread and other yummy in your tummy goodies...apple bread anyone?? Mia took charge and tasted each and every apple!

skaneatles trip

During one of our last nice weather weekends Brian and I decided to wander down to Skaneatles, a local tourist hot spot. It was exactly as we had imagined it, cute and quaint with lots of little shops! Mia especially loved the little boardwalk out to the water, guess this was a first for her...?

another puppy friend

mia has another puppy friend, a goldendoodle named sophie! they got along and played well together right from the start!

to bee or not to bee

Mia thought she might want to be a bumble bee for halloween...but then she decided not to bee... :P

peek a boo, I see you!

Is it just me or do other dogs like to play peek a boo? It's kind of weird right? She likes to hide around corners and wait for us to jump out at her...hmmm...guess we have an odd doggy...

we love soy candles!

As a birthday gift I received a wonderful smelling soy candle that I absolutely love! It is a papaya flowery smell, but the best part is NO SMOKE! Soy candles are made to produce a lack of smoke when you blow them out. (Remember how other candles can smoke and smoke, some more than others, I have even had a smoke alarm go off before just from blowing them out!) THANK YOU!

Some bunny loves you!

Mia looking up at her human daddy (BK) with those sad puppy eyes! she loves to carry around her bunny toy in her mouth. The funny part is when she tries to bark while bunny is still in her mouth because it sounds all muffled! hehe!

upside down

On my way to work in the mornings, I go through an intersection with an upside down stop light. It was put there intentionally, its actually one of the famous hot spots in Syracuse. It is a tribute to the strong Irish heritage here in the Syracuse, NY area.

who knows how to crochet?

I have been eagerly trying to make a hat using my crocheting skills...BUT! I can't seem to figure out how to make them nicely round. I need help! If anyone knows how to crochet hats (beanies-adult or baby size) please let me know! :) I only know how to crochet, not what the stitches are called and such...

What to be? oh what to be?

Mia can't figure out what she wants to be for Halloween this year.... first we tried a pumpkin, but it was too small. Then we tried this, a bumblebee, which is cute and warm (since we have heard that its cold out in october) but we're not quite sure its a good fit... Let us know what you think! (we have also tried doctor scrubs, ballerina tutu...)

mia's owie!

This picture is kinda old now, but mia was having more dr problems. They had to take blood and she had to have her arm wrapped up for awhile since shes so little! She is on special tummy safe food now and feeling much better! We were worried about our poor little girl. :(

Apple Picking

We had a blast this weekend at the apple orchard where they have a pick-your-own-apples area! We tasted a lot of apples and had some yummy apple cider and apple cider donuts!

Corn Field Girls

Anne, Nikki and I wanted to try out a funny picture with some corn fields. It finally worked after a few tries with the help of the timer on the camera! Funny thing is...we all itched afterwards...can you be allergic to corn?

football game and puppy play-dates

Mia had another play date with charlie and brick. They enjoyed playing tug of war with her care bear. They also ripped the legs off of lamby (mia's fuzzy lamb toy)! Here mia is pictured carrying around the legs! It was a sight to see!!
