Thanks Auntie Bridget!

Bridget, Joel & baby Owen got Mia some new clothes! Thank you Hein Family! I will wear them when I get cold going outside in the snow. -Mia

Hakuna Matada!!

Happy Valentine's Day! Brian took me to the Lion King!! It was wonderful, and my first musical! I especially loved the baby elephant that followed the big mommy elephant through the crowd!

This week at the Kistler house...

Mia covering her face while sleeping...

Brian and Mia taking a nap again.

Mia crossing her hands while she sleeps, sooo cute!!

Christina giving Mia her bath this morning. She loves the bath part but hates being towel dried!

Mia's friend Marcus!

Mia has made friends with another puppy at her puppy class at PetSmart. Her name is Marcus and she is a mix of lab and husky. Mia will only pay attention and even come near Marcus, the other dogs are still very intimidating to her. After all, she is almost 1/4 of the other puppies size! Marcus is nice enough to let Mia chase her wiggly tale and knows to lie down so that Mia isn't afraid and can come over closer to her to play.

nap time

Falling asleep on her back on Brian's lap. Doesn't she look comfortable??

Mid-day naps with her teddy bear on the couch.
Mia disappearing into a pile of snow!

Mia eating more snow. I think she thinks its a treat or something!

The morning effect of the snow storm, before it got really bad...

Mia loves the snow!

Mia sticking her tongue out to catch a few flakes. Isn't she cute!

SNOW DAY!

Today is our worst snow storm this winter! We are setting records for our snow accumulation too. They said that the last time we had a storm this big was 1999! We are expected to get anywhere between 12 and 18 inches at our house. Since its the heavy kind of snow you have to shovel every so often, otherwise its so heavy you can't shovel it. I try to do my part but I admit I am not great at shoveling snow. I opted to be in charge of Mia's "potty time" instead...

Bath time again

Mia taking a bath again! This time Brian is sporting a lovely pink apron in attemp to keep his clothes dry. Although she is tiny, when she does the wet dog shake she can spread water just about everywhere. And she does not like to sit still long enough to get towel dried, we've tried the blowdryer but she didn't really like it. However, if we put the space heater on the floor near her gate she likes to stand in front of it to dry off a bit. What a cutie!

BATH TIME

The first few days that Mia came home, she was regularly taking anywhere between 5 and 9 baths a day. Poor Brian! But since she has started to get bigger and better about using the bathroom outside rather than in her bed area, she is down to one bath a day average!!! We are sooo excited! She doesn't love her bath time yet, but she does like to eat the soap bubbles sometimes... She looks so pathetic and scrawny when her fur is wetted down.

Messy Art Class

Gaby with her friends William and Ian, enjoying painting together at Messy Art class.
Gaby loves her Messy Art. Every Thursday we take a wonderful class at the JCC called Messy Art class. She paints and paints and paints. And when class is over she is heartbroken that she has to leave. Good thing we can go play at the World of Wow playground and cafe, that is literally the only way I can get her to leave the classroom!

Finally! I have been wanting to try out something new for quite a while and when it comes time to get my hair cut I tend to chicken out a lot. But not this time! I got highlights and a cute yet classy and chic little haircut. While I can no longer put it up into my usual ponytail, I really like the new look.

Mia meets the girls!

Nina wanted to see if we could fit mia into a coffee cup. While she did not fit in the normal size cup, we fit her into Nina's oversized travel mug! Mia did not seem to mind sitting in the cup, and as always loves to pose for pictures!

Nina and Lane came home from school to meet Mia! They cuddled her, played with her and made her very tired. By the time Brian left to take her back home she was fast asleep.

Mia, Mia, Mia!

Cold puppy needed a teeny tiny T-shirt to keep her warm with all of the winter snow! She loves her teddy bear too!

Mia always seems to be sleeping, much like a baby. She likes to be tucked in with her little blankie and her teddy bear near by. She sleeps best on Brians lap or stomach, and when he is sleeping too!

Rock Climbing Tournament

Happy Birthday Brian!! For Brian's birthday I decided to enter him in a rock climbing competition as a sort of funny joke since he often comments on his rock climbing talents. And sure enough he went on to win the beginner competition at 4th Place! GO BRIAN!!

Brian's pride and joy! His new Toyota Tacoma Truck!! After an unfortunate accident with the little Ford Focus he was able to get his dream car, a big manly truck!!

Baby Mia!

Welcome home baby Mia! Our Chorkie (yorkie & chihuahua) is just 2 1/4 lbs but fiesty none the less! She keeps us on our toes and we love her!!
