Houston ZOO!

Brian surprised me and took me to the ZOO! My favorite place! We saw some funny animals and some very endangered animals as well, the zoo itself was so beautiful and tropical I could have moved in next door to the elephants or some other animal. :)
Photo 1: Bat eating fruit (can you see him?)
Photo 2: forgot the name of this animal but WOW was he hungry to eat his own leg!!
Photo 3: the turtle family, aren't they CUTE!!!

Houston visit!!

Brian and I took advantage of his time off (or lack of!) and went to Houston, TX to visit our newlywed friends Mike and Sarah! We had so much fun relaxing and seeing the sights, including the messy hurricane damaged areas.

OUR FIRST NY SNOW!!

Technically we got our first snow about a week ago but this is the first snow that had enough to last more than a few hours on the ground...CAUTION!!! yellow snow!!! uh oh mia, busted!

pumpkins

Happy Halloween everyone! Brian and I had a moment to spare so we carved our pumpkins early! Mia was unsure about them at first but after tasting it and sitting in it she decided she liked them after all!

Would You Eat This??

The thought of even nibbling on this makes me feel ill but would you eat this? Its called kitty litter cake, made to look disgusting but totally edible....yuck!

Happy Halloween Party!!

My friend Nikki and I dressed as "good fairy" and "bad fairy" for a friends halloween party last weekend. It was a blast! Tons of great halloween food and fun for everyone! The best part...we only spent $3 on our costumes! $1 glow in the dark fairy wand, $1 pink fairy hair headband, $1 fairy wings!!

name that berry!

Anyone know what this is? It was growing in between apple trees at the apple orchard we visited last month...I thought it was really pretty even though I had no idea what kind of plant or berry it was.

Apple Picking...again!

As if we didn't come home with enough apples the first time, we decided to go apple picking again! This time we came home with a whopping 16lbs of apples! I just finished them all up making tons of pies and apple bread and other yummy in your tummy goodies...apple bread anyone?? Mia took charge and tasted each and every apple!
