the stroller brigade takes the zoo

The stroller brigade, i.e. our new group of baby friends, took on the zoo one sunny afternoon. We found the quacking ducks especially funny as well as the swinging monkeys that we had never seen before. :) The kids know their animals and animal sounds so well that seth was requesting to visit the elephants (via his elephant blowing noises) the moment we got to the parking lot at the zoo!

taking the kids to the pumpkin patch

Wow! What a fun, colorful outing! The pumpkin patch served as hands on learning and so much fun for seth and emma. Emma especially loved bouncing up and down on the pumpkins and rolling them down the hill, seth just wanted to pick them all up (even the big ones) and when he tried sisters fun bouncing idea we squished one and ended up with pumpkin booty, what fun! :)

the AWESOME pumpkin :)

this was my super cool find, lumpy bumpy one-of-a-kind pumpkin I found at the pumpkin patch...sadly it died before halloween because chubby squirrel is a pain in my butt!

pumpkin time

After some mishaps, grrr, from irritating have-it-out-for-me squirrels, we got new pumpkins and got them carved in time for Halloween. The previous pumpkins are on the back porch still with chunks and teeth marks in them and or half of the pumpkin shredded to pieces and or missing. THANKS A LOT!!
Mia usually does not enjoy getting into the pumpkin but she was more than willing this year as long as she got to taste her way through the photos :)

Camping at Paradise Cove

I am lucky to have a very sweet friend that invited us to stay a night at her campground Paradise Cove. It was a cold night but we stuck it out, mia stayed as far away from the fire as possible, and we enjoyed the view and loved the peace and quiet. Thanks for an awesome night away!

Jordy and her apples

I just couldn't resist taking some delicious photos of Jordy as she experienced apple picking for the first time. What a cutie!

APPLES, APPLES, EVERYWHERE!!

We had a blast apple picking with our friends Julie & Jordy and came home with way too many apples! p.s. Brian turned into a goat from all the apples :) hehe!

Watkins Glen State Park (aka 800 steps of waterfalls conquered!)

Happy 24th Birthday Christina!

Brian created a fun filled birthday to help keep the celebration going. We ate dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Carabbas, and I ate some delish chocolate cake, yummmm!

Camping at Watkins Glen

During Brian's short vacation we attempted to go Camping for the first time, just us. It was late when we got there Friday night, it was also pouring down rain by the bucketful while we set up the tent (good thing I knew how to do it quick!). And then we went for a beautiful hike in some nice sunny weather. By the time we came back to our campsite and ate lunch, it began to storm and downpour. Soon our tent area was flooding and mia was shaking in the corner. So, we decided that we would go home early. We packed up in yet another downpour and headed out a little bit discouraged.

funniest freaking bad day story...get ready to laugh your booty off!!

As I was driving into the parking lot at the grocery store this afternoon I was startled by the car in front of me. It appeared to have a woman driving and what looked like either a racoon or cat hanging from the roof. Whenever she turned the corner the racoon or cat moved back and forth, I thought for sure it was going to come flying off at any moment. I panicked and followed her all throughout the parking lot hoping to at least let her know about this animal on her car once she stopped. When she finally slowed to park I burst out hysterically laughing. The thing hanging on top of the car was her large weimaraner dog sitting on the base in between the front two seats with his big head and floppy ears hanging out the sunroof! How freaking cute, and funny too! :)

Beach Babies

Jamesville Beach was the perfect sunny day outing! We had a picnic and played in the water...some of us threw wet sand but I'm not naming any names... I went with Julie and baby Jordy and some of their friends.

Sterling Renaissance Festival

Mike & Amy took me to the Renaissance Festival a short drive away and it was a day to remember! I ate a giant turkey leg and a huge piece of chocolate cake :) yummy!! We watched a jousting competition that was more than entertaining and saw many enthusiasticly dressed people. There was also (pictured) a pirate's "walk the plank" although in this skit you actually sat in the chair and were dunked...or so it looked, we didn't see the show. Thanks for the awesome day guys!!
