I attempted to re-create a wonderful childhood memory and this is what spit out. :) When I was a kid, my Grandpa Goddard's friend, Kenny Vesper, made me and my siblings these beautiful candy pumpkins. I remember large tootsie rolls as mouths and licorice hair. I couldn't find anyone else who made these or even anything similar, but I did my best...

Kenny Vesper would be so pleased that you remember this! He was a dear, generous man who always reminded me of an elf - when I was a kid I used to check his shoes to see if they turned up at the toes.
